Your use of whitebox services is governed by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights. Our Agreement By ordering services from whitebox you via your retailer you are entering into a contract with us. The terms below are important and set out our obligations to you and what you are agreeing to. On-line order process You will select the freesat product you wish to buy. You will then click on the installation link that takes you into our web page. Select the installation service you need from the information on the site and click on the buy now tab. Complete the transactional process as directed. You will be asked to select a preferred installation time and date. Within 24 working hours of receiving your order we will ring you to confirm this date. We will ensure that your appointment is made at a time following the delivery of your equipment. To order our services you will need to supply your us with two phone numbers for you on which we are able to contact you (these numbers may be mobiles or fixed lines (or both) where the caller ID may be withheld) together with an e-mail address. Our contract with you, and your service order, is not legally binding until 2.00pm the day before our whitebox installer is due to visit you. For a service visit scheduled on a Monday the order becomes legally binding at 2.00pm the Friday before. You may cancel at any time up to this point and claim a full refund by e-mailing shop@whiteboxinstallations.co.uk. If you order more than one service each service may be cancelled separately for any reason. Fees and Payment All fees are clearly displayed on our website and are inclusive of VAT. We offer 3 installation service products; 1. Assisted installation - for customers wanting to use freesat alongside Sky or are intending to use an existing dish that has not been used for some time Price - £55.00 2. SD or HD Set-top box or freesat IDTV installation – The installation of a new satellite dish to receive freesat Price - £79.00 3. Freesat + PVR installation – The installation of the recordable freesat product Price - £99.00 You can pay on our website via paypal using all major credit cards with the exception of American Express Booking Service Appointments Appointments for a whitebox installer to visit your home can be made for a specific day, Monday to Saturday, and our whitebox installer will visit you between 8.30am and 5.00pm. The date of the appointment slot for your whitebox installer service visit will be confirmed after you have placed your order Our whitebox installer will call you on the morning of the appointment between 8.30am and 10.00am to advise you of the estimated time of arrival (if the visit is planned to be before 10.00am then you will get a call before the visit). The installer will try and be as specific as possible but may only be able to give an indication of when our installer intends to arrive, for example, within a 4 hour window. Sometimes it may be necessary to re-schedule an appointment due to factors beyond our control. If it is necessary to do this, we will telephone you to try to re-schedule another appointment as soon as reasonably possible at a mutually convenient time. In the unlikely event we do have to reschedule an appointment at any time you may cancel your order and claim a full refund for the service affected. Cancelling or Changing an Appointment You may cancel or make a change to a home appointment at any time before 2.00pm the day before the appointment date (or the Friday before for a Monday appointment). Cancellations made before 2.00pm on the day prior to the appointment (or the Friday before for a Monday appointment) will be entitled to a full refund of the service paid for. If you cancel or change an appointment after this time we will do our best to re-arrange our schedules without cost to you but we may withhold up to 50% of the fees paid to cover our cancellation costs. Service cancellations can be made by e-mailing whitebox at shop@whiteboxinstallations.co.uk. Appointment changes can be made by calling the number specified in the confirmation e-mail. Missed Appointments If you are unable to keep a service appointment at the address specified during booking when the whitebox installer arrives then we will leave a calling card to say the installer called. Your will be required to re-book the appointment using the number specified in the confirmation e-mail or on the calling card. If you are out at the agreed appointment time and subsequently cancel your service order whitebox may withhold up to 80% of the fees paid to cover its costs. Warranty All the whitebox services carry a twelve month warranty on parts and labour. This means if there is a problem or any fault which is connected to the service provided we will either try again to fix the problem at no extra charge or, if we cannot fix the problem, we will refund your money in full for the services performed. This excludes faults caused by the failure of other components after the installation has taken place, or by faults caused through the incorrect use of the equipment or materials, or by faults arising from accidental damage or incorrect use of the product. Additional Work We recognise that on certain occasions installers, when they visit your home and discuss the installation with you may identify the need for additional work or re-work. Within the contractor terms and conditions we encourage the contractor to offer the appropriate service to you at this point as a customer service. Should you wish to purchase additional added value services at the point of installation then the installer will discuss requirements, quote market rates and if appropriate complete the work. The contract for this additional work carried out will be either directly with whitebox installations or your retailer’s nominated contractor. Warranty, payment and statutory rights associated with this work will be undertaken by the installer and the installer’s organisation directly. Service Visit Requirements Information We Require and Use of Information When booking or in follow up calls we will ask you for certain details which we require to perform the service. This includes address and contact telephone numbers able to accept incoming calls and an e-mail address. We may record your conversations with our installers for training or records purposes. Your data protection and privacy rights regarding other information we may collect are set out in our Privacy Policy. The use of this information is governed through our privacy policy. Who We Are?
